How To

How to make an omelet that is perfect

Omelets is one of my favourite breakfast foods. But how do they turn out so perfectly? I've tried many recipes and different methods but none have worked. So I wanted to share some tips and tricks so that you can make delicious, fluffy omelets every morn.

It is important to know that eggs can be temperamental when making omelets. It is important that eggs are fresh from an organic market and kept cool until used. You must keep them cool enough to allow the whites to form properly and the yolks to become too runny if they're not kept at the right temperature. This will make your omelets appear strangely colored. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

You might also try separating the egg before adding to the pan. You don't want any white to get mixed up with the yolk because this could cause the omelet to curdle.

You could end up burning the bottom half of the egg if the egg is added directly to the heat source. Instead, place the egg in the microwave for 10 second before you put it in the skillet. The microwave heat will cook the egg just right without making it too hot.

Next, let’s talk about mixing the egg. When you mix eggs together, you want to beat them well. You can do this by turning the bowl of your mixer upside down. Then shake the bowl vigorously. This allows the air to be whipped and the egg to be mixed thoroughly.

Now it's time to have fun: pour the milk into the mixture. First, pour half of the milk into the beaten eggs and then fold the eggs gently into the remaining milk. Don't worry if there are still streaks of egg visible; these streaks will disappear once you flip the omelet.

After you have folded your eggs, heat up the oil on medium heat. Wait for it to get hot. Add 1/4 cup butter to the oil and swirl it around to coat all sides of the pan. The lid should be carefully opened. Sprinkle salt in the pan. A pinch of salt will help prevent the omelet from sticking to the pan.

Once the omelet has formed completely, cover the pan and let it set for a few minutes. Use a spatula to flip the omelet or turn the pan upside-down. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Serve immediately after removing the omelet from its pan.

This recipe is best when used with whole milk. But, you can use skimmed milk as well.
