How to make a perfect omelet

Omelets is one of my favourite breakfast foods. How can you make them perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. So today, I want to share some tips and tricks with you so you can make your own delicious and fluffy omelets every morning.

First, eggs can be very temperamental ingredients for making omelets. They must be fresh, preferably from the organic market, and be kept cold until cooking. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. Your omelets will look strangely colored if this happens. If you want to make omelets right away, it's best not to use eggs that are too cold.

You might also try separating the egg before adding to the pan. You don't want any white to get mixed up with the yolk because this could cause the omelet to curdle.

The egg can burn if it is placed directly on the stovetop. Instead, place the egg in the microwave for 10 second before you put it in the skillet. The microwave heat will cook the egg just right without making it too hot.

Next, let's discuss mixing the eggs. Mix eggs well together. Turn the bowl upside down and grab the whisk to do this. Then shake the bowl vigorously. This allows the air to be whipped and the egg to be mixed thoroughly.

Now comes the fun part - pouring the milk into the mixture. Pour half the milk into the beaten egg mixture and then fold in the eggs. Do not be alarmed if there are still egg streaks visible. Once the omelet flips, these streaks will disappear.

After folding the eggs fold the pan onto medium heat. When the oil starts to hot, wait for the pan to cook. Once the oil starts getting hot, add 1/4 cup of butter to the pan and swirl it around to coat the entire surface of the pan. Next, carefully open the lid and sprinkle salt into your pan. A pinch of salt will help prevent the omelet from sticking to the pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Flip the omelet over using a spatula or flip the pan upside down. Cook the other side for about a minute. Take the omelet out of the pan and immediately serve.

This recipe is best made with whole milk. However, it can also be used with skimmed milk.
