Fresh fish that has not been marinated is crispiest, and the skin on the fish is especially important for getting that delicious crust. Keep it simple when cooking fish. Place a thin layer of flour on top of the fish using a large spoon. For crispier fish, brush a bit of oil onto the surface.

How To

How to make a perfect Omelette

Omelets is one of my favourite breakfast foods. How do you make them perfect? I've tried many recipes and different methods but none have worked. Today, I'd like to share some tips with you in order to make delicious and fluffy omelets every day.

Before we start making omelets, let's remember that eggs are temperamental. You must get them fresh, organically, and keep them cold until you cook. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. This causes your omelets to look oddly colored. If you want to make omelets right away, it's best not to use eggs that are too cold.

Another tip is to separate each egg before adding them to the saucepan. You don't want any white to get mixed up with the yolk because this could cause the omelet to curdle.

You might burn the bottom of the egg if you place the egg directly on the stovetop. This could ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, heat the egg in a microwave for 10 seconds and then place it in a pan. The microwave heat will cook the egg just right without making it too hot.

Next, let's discuss mixing the eggs. You want to mix the eggs thoroughly before you add them. You need to turn the bowl of the mixer upside down. Then shake the bowl vigorously. By doing this, the egg is thoroughly mixed with the air in the bowl.

Now comes the fun part: adding the milk to your mixture. Mix half of the milk with the eggs. Then fold the eggs in half into the remaining milk. Do not worry if you see streaks of egg; they will disappear when the omelet is flipped.

After you have done folding the eggs, heat the pan on medium heat. The oil will start to smoke. When the oil is hot enough, add 1/4 cup butter to the pan. Stir it around until the butter covers the entire pan. Now carefully crack open the lid of the pan and sprinkle salt into the pan. A pinch of salt will prevent your omelet from sticking in the pan.

Once the omelet has formed completely, cover the pan and let it set for a few minutes. Flip the omelet over using a spatula or flip the pan upside down. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Take the omelet out of the pan and immediately serve.

This recipe works best using whole milk. Skimmed milk is also possible.
